OUR
MISSION
At Drama turkeys, we hatch bold, imaginative theatre that sparks conversation, celebrates the diverse experience and connects communities.
With curiosity as our compass and storytelling as our craft,
we nurture original voices and reimagine classics
through collaboration, humor, and heart.

We believe theatre should be
fearless, inclusive, and wildly alive

— just like the artists
and audiences
who bring it to life.

OUR STORY
Hi there, we are Lani and Roos!
We’re a bunch of dreamers, doers, and drama-loving mischief-makers who believe in the magic of stories and the joy that happens when people come together to share them. For us, theatre isn’t just a performance — it’s an adventure in a giant creative playground to explore the dramaturgy* of the worlds we create.
We mash together words, movement, characters, and a bit of beautiful chaos to make something playful & powerful from a unique lens.
We build theatre that gets everyone involved - by being swept into the imagination, humour and heart of our stories, whether you're on the stage or in the audience.
From skill led workshops to wild productions, from engaging events to playgrounds full of idea's, we’re dreaming loud and large.
The world’s our stage, and we’re here to make it fun, fearless, and for everyone.

Dramaturgy: is the art of shaping a story for the stage—giving it structure, meaning, and impact.

Meet the Creative Team
Say hello to the Flock! The curious minds and passionate hearts behind Drama Turkeys.
Alana and Roos come from different backgrounds, but their paths crossed during 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream'—directed by Alana and assistant directed by Roos. Their creative visions clicked, and before they knew it, Drama Turkeys was born.
Roos graduated from the Academy for the Arts in Utrecht with a Bachelor in Theatre & Education. As a theatre-maker, drama teacher, performer, and dramaturg, she wants to get as many people involved in theatre, because theatre is for everyone— anyone can play.
Alana graduated from RMIT University with an Advanced Diploma of Professional screenwriting. She continued her learning and practise through producing, performing, directing, facilitating and coordinating events with community organizations. She believes that stories are the best way to connect and learn about ourselves and the people around us.

Together they will be directing their next productions & hosting experiences. Besides that they will dive - beak first - into producing, writing, managing, dancing & marketing to run Drama Turkeys.
