About the Festival
Each autumn, the town of Stratford in Victoria celebrates the life and works of William Shakespeare with the Shakespeare on the River Festival. Running since 1991, this vibrant community event features theatre performances, live music, markets, workshops, and literary competitions.
Blending classic and contemporary interpretations of Shakespeare, the festival offers something for everyone — from immersive plays and costumed galas to family-friendly activities and local food and wine. Set across multiple venues in town, it’s a unique cultural experience that brings creativity, storytelling, and community spirit to life on the banks of the Avon River.
We were invited to perform our version of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' on the 4th of May 2025 in Stratford.
(May the fourth be with you...)

From the director
- Alana Michaud
"Transforming Shakespeare's words into a performance is like being given the best quality paints, a canvas and an iconic landscape that's been painted hundreds of times throughout history. With such beautiful
materials you hope to do the painting justice by showing all it's beauty while adding your own new perspective. What a joy it is to be able to create with such beautiful paints."
We are grateful to perform 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Shakespeare festival in Stratford. It's wonderful to share our production with an audience who know and love Shakespeare's work. "
